Unpublished Africa’s work through Creative cohort three of its flagship program.
Harare, Zimbabwe - [9/09/24]: Unpublished Africa, a platform dedicated to supporting emerging African visual storytellers, is thrilled to announce the launch of the third cohort of its flagship program Creative Business Studio. This six-week program continues to provide essential tools and knowledge to photographers looking to build sustainable businesses.
Through Creative Business Studio participants can expect to better their creative businesses with the support of industry experts, business strategists and program mentors. Creative Business Studio, has seen creatives from Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe (and more) learn how to improve their creative business and set a foundation for them to access more opportunities. Creatives in the program can expect to get:
Expert Mentorship: business and creative industry professionals will share their expertise and provide guidance.
Hands-On Learning: Participants will engage in practical exercises, and projects to apply their knowledge.
Networking Opportunities: The program fosters a supportive community where creatives can connect, collaborate, and share ideas.
Participants are also awarded an opportunity to publish their work with Unpublished Africa in the publication Africa Published which is exclusive to program participants and collaborators. Creative Business Studio culminates this publication and previous cohorts contributed work that showcased their interpretation of the UN Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
Visual storytellers capture and provide the world with stories that breakthrough the language barrier. It is imperative that their stories also be told, and this publication – ‘Africa Published’, alongside its founding organisation, is a platform for the sharing of the African creative’s journey and narrative.
