Unpublished Africa Photography Week (REPRESENTATION)
Unpublished Africa’s third annual Photography Week, themed “Representation,” brings together photographers, curators, and visual storytellers from across Africa. This week-long festival explores how African photography shapes perception, challenges stereotypes, and builds new narratives about the continent.

The theme Representation goes beyond visibility as it questions who tells Africa’s stories, how they are told, and whose voices are heard. Through exhibitions, workshops, photo walks, and panel discussions, Unpublished Africa Photo Week creates a collaborative space for photographers to connect, learn, and reflect on the power of visual storytelling.
From identity and heritage to gender, community, and culture, this edition of Photo Week highlights the photographers redefining what African representation looks like — both behind and in front of the camera.

Event Highlights:
-
Exhibitions showcasing African photographers and visual narratives
-
Workshops on storytelling, ethics, and building sustainable creative careers
-
Photo Walks connecting photographers across African cities

Unpublished Africa Photo Week is more than a festival; it’s a platform for connection, visibility, and the growth of Africa’s creative economy.
